My very best wishes for a happy and peaceful 2011

January 1, 2011

Just a note to wish all the residents of Hastings & Rye a happy, healthy and peaceful new year!

My good wishes particularly to fellow public sector workers who will face some difficult and uncertain months ahead.

2010 has been quite a year for our family.  The General Election campaign which started in 2007 came to an end in May, and our second daughter arrived in June.  It’s been a whirlwind.

And 2011 is likely to bring a number of challenges for the country – the need to embed growth in our economy and to make the case for, and win, the argument on electoral reform, to name but two.

Despite the challenges, I hope the year it is full of good things for you, your family, and for Hastings & Rye.
