Nick backs BNI bid to beat the recession

recession-badgeOn Tuesday morning I attended the Visitors Day for the Hastings & St Leonard’s chapter of Business Networking International.

My first meeting with the organisation was at the hugely successful ‘Let’s do business’ event in the middle of last month, and I was impressed with the energy of the BNI representatives and their determination to keep business local, so I went along to learn a bit more about the organisation.

As well as demonstrating the remarkable commitment of starting their meetings between 6.15-6.45am each Tuesday, the local BNI is demonstrating through action, its commitment to the welfare of local small businesses.  The referrals process that I witnessed on Tuesday morning, is a great way of making sure that local people are getting the work they need to stay afloat in the downturn.

I wish them well with their membership drive and their early mornings!

The combination of Azur’s full english breakfast and the possibility of watching the sun rise over the sea was an added bonus to an already-worthwhile couple of hours.
